I am looking to down size my diaper bag now that my LO is 1yr. I would like something small but that I can still get all the things I will need on short trips out. What are you ladies using?
(Mine is all black- no rainbow, found it at Ross for $40)
But, it has lots of pockets, a great little pouch inside for medicine and other small necessities, plenty of room for a few diapers, wipes and a small change of clothes. Plus, it's more purse-like than diaper pag like and it's washable.
I would just throw my wallet, phone and keys in it when we were out.
I use a JJ Cole diaper wipe clutch that is the perfect size to throw into my purse. It fits 3 diapers, a travel wipes case, a bag of Cheerios, a couple Bibsters, and two pouches of baby food with ease. I find that's enough for most trips.
I still need to carry a lot since I don't have a car, so when we leave home I have to carry anything I need with me. It's fairly large and fits a change of clothes, zippy cup, a diaper and wipes, some snacks, my wallet, phone, and keys. Oh, and my water bottle too!

31 sells some purses that would make great diaper bags. They also have zippered pouches that you could tuck some diapers and wipes into and put the whole pouch in your purse.

Until the baby comes, we're pretty much diaper bag free. But this is what I used as a transitional bag:

JJ Cole Diaper Pod
For short trips, I just throw a diaper and some wipes in my purse. If we're going to be out a little longer, I have two different bags I use.

The second is a little bigger, so it just depends on what I need to take with us that particular day.
Edited to fix second link.
I just graduated from the diaper bag and got this one: https://www.brooklynindustries.com/bags-handbags/margarite-hobo
