Ladies Taking Progesterone From 3DPO

In the past, I've only taken prometrium after BFPs.  This cycle my RE told me to take it starting at 3DPO, since, although my non-pg P4 is fine, my pg P4 is always low. I'm down with that, but I neglected to ask when to stop taking it if the cycle's a bust.  I know I still have a few days to wait and see, but I'm wondering when I should stop.  My average LP is 13 days, which I'll definitely wait for, but I don't want to push AF back too much.

What do you guys think?  When do you usually stop?

    Orders from both my OB and my RE was test 14DPO and stop if BFN. For my OB, that test was a beta. For my RE, that test is an HPT.

    ETA: I have a 12 day LP. 

    This is what I was told also.

    I have not made it past 13dpo without bleeding, but I was told to take it until 14dpo.  I think that's pretty standard, but I've seen some take them a little longer.  I would just call and double check.

    Thanks for the input ladies. I'll definitely call and check with my RE tomorrow, I just wanted to hear others' experiences, since I had no idea!  I knew I could count on you knowledgable ladies to help me out.

    I've only taken progesterone injections and didn't stop those till I got bloodwork with the RE.

    I've never taken it during a 2ww. But I have a RL TTCAL friend who takes it until CD 14. If she gets a BFN she stops.

    I was told to take it until AF shows up, but I think the idea of testing at 14dpo and then stopping makes a lot of sense.

    I usually have my betas done at 12DPO, thats when i stop.  It usually takes 3-4 days for me to get AF after I stop.

    my RE makes me come in 14 days dpo for a pregnancy test, if it is neg then i stop the progesterone

    Married 11/27/09 and TTC right away
    Dx: Complete septate uterus with cervical duplication, endometrial polyps, PCOS, endometriosis, hypo thyroid, luteal phase defect
    4 uterus surgeries to correct my complete septum and to remove polyps and 2 years of seeing the RE, medicated cycles and IUIs
    Baby 1 and 2: BFP 3/3/11 with 2 babies EDD 11/1/11, M/C 4/6/11
    Baby #3: 8/11 pregnant EDD 4/27/11 and m/c:(
    Baby #4: 10/12/11 BFP! EDD 6/16/12m/c 10/26/11
    Baby #5: 3/13/12 BFP! EDD 11/25/12 ANOTHER m/c :(

    Baby #6: 2/14/13- BFP! EDD 10/24/13, CP 2/19/13
    Baby #7: 3/15/13- BFP! EDD 11/27/13, another CP
    Baby #8.  BFP 5/19/13 EDD 1/22/14. 8 was not our lucky number

    4th septum resection on 5/31/13.
    Baby #9: 6/29/13 BFP. C section scheduled for March 5th!

    My miracle baby was born March 5 at 9:33am. He was 8 lbs 12.5 oz and 21.25 inches long!

    This is what I was told also.

    Ditto this.  I just use HPTs unless I'm super confident that our timing was perfect, then I'll go in for a beta.  I was testing early (9dpo) since I have other stuff to start once I get a BFP but my doctor wanted me to continue prometrium until at least 14 or 15dpo just in case of a later implantation.

    positive for ANAs (1:40) with a speckled pattern
    MTHFR c677t mutation (heterozygous)
    *folic acid, baby asprin, Prometrium, acupuncture, Lovenox*
    BFP @ 9dpo 2.1.2012 || HCG = 8 : Progesterone = 19.2
    2nd HCG @ 11dpo = 40 || 3rd HCG @ 21dpo = over 5000!
