I am going to preface this post by saying that both of these question are probably newbie Q's even though I am not.  One IF related and one not.  Thanks for any help.

 

First, are the follicles that they can see on Day 2 baseline u/s the same as a AFC?  I have been wanting to ask that for a few months now but always feel like I should know.  

 

Second, if I wanted to change the icon over my name to a personal picture or a clip art picture, how do I?

Yes, the follicles they see at baseline is the AFC. It can vary a little month to month. Mine was actually 5 this past month (which is good for me!).

Go to My Bump, click on Edit My Avatar and sig.

Next to Choose a New Avatar, click on upload a pic (browse for the location in your computer). That new photo should be automatically your new icon.  If not, you can click from all the photos you'd uploaded.

Agree with McIrsh.  My last IVF he counted 14 and I think only 7 or 8 actually got to ER.

Thanks ladies.  Mine are never good.  This time she said one on the right and a "few" on the left.  The u/s tech seemed reluctant to tell me and I didn't push what "a few" meant.

Nope...not sure what I am doing because it shows up when I go to mybump but not in my posts.

It may just take a while to show up. I had to wait almost 3 hours for my avatar to change.

I see it as a girl with a pink umbrella in the rain- so maybe it's already fixed

Don't worry about the AFC. Brigham never told me what they saw and I don't think they even report it since they only measure over 12mm.

No they don't report it, I was just curious.  Rachel said she wasn't going to check it because she knew it would be low...no point.  I just insist on torturing myself.

I like your avatar.  If you changed it to the girl with the pink umbrella, I really love it.

I had someone I had never seen at the clinic before do my AFC count this cycle and I think she just made some numbers up.  I almost always have between 10 and 15 and she reported 15 on each side!  I don't think it's ever very accurate.
