Any one on Lamictal? How are the side effects for you?

I have PPA and was put on Lamictal today since my other medication wasn't working. I was just wondering if anyone else is on it and what your experience is/was?

I was on lamictal for a period of time in the past. I didn't feel much of a difference, so it was combined with another drug, and then I started having many side effects. (Spacy, numb hands, feeling distant, cotton mouth, constipation.) I went off it after about four or five months because I did not like it with the other drug, and it didn't help me alone unless I went on a dosage that was so high I was also experiencing many side effects. To me, the benefits were not equal to the drawbacks. You may have a different experience, though.

I'm on 100mg of lamictal accompianied by Celexa.  The only side effects I have from lamictal is a little dizziness, and lack of appetite.  the lack of appetite sure is helping my weight loss!  I do have advice, try real hard not to miss a day of taking your pills, it can cause some majorly bad reactions.  During Christmas vacation I forgot to take it 3 days in a row.  I couldn't even function and missed out on a lot with my babe.  Also, if you can see a therapist, I find that it really helps me talk about my issues without hurting feelings of my lovedones.

I've been on and off a ton of different meds since having the twins. Most recently on Lamictal b/c apparently I'm bipolar now   It's the only med I've been on in the last 16 months that doesn't have any side effects. I'm sticking with it but I don't feel any more stable or better.
