Child Support

How did your exes react when they were told they had to pay child support? Just curious im going to be filing soon( custody as well) and a little nervous about how my ex will react even though I really shouldnt care considering he has been acting like an asshat and could care less about my feelings. Im gathering that he is going to be pissed for awhile.

    I was trying to be nice so I didn't file right away and thought maybe he would offer support. Well that didn't happen, even though he swore he did. So when I did file he decided he wasnt my son's father anymore. He wanted a paternity tests and he stopped seeing him. File as soon as you can and remember its for your daughter so if he is pissed too bad.

    This is my situation now which is why I decided to just go ahead and file because his "support "or lack thereof right now has got me thinking about whats to come in the future and Id rather be prepared and make sure she is taken care of then play nice and let him man up on his own.

    He filed for joint custody before I could even heal from my c-section and file for child support! His motto: "the more custody I have, the less child support I pay." Men see child support as a punishment so just be prepared for any and all backlash.

    ^This. He said I was violating his rights and that he can't afford to pay child support, and I know it and the only reason I'm taking him to court is because I'm a greedy. Nvm that the reason he can't afford child support is because he lives beyond his means. I'm the judge will make an exception for his 2011 filled loaded Acura. I've heard theyre cool that way. /sarcasm.

    Oddly, mutual friends have stopped being mutual friends because I'm takin him to court. I've decided they're idiots.
