Update to: Are these BH or could it be pre-labor

I called the dr's office first thing this am and was able to get an appt for this afternoon. I had the u/s first and LO is very low in my pelvis and measured in at an estimated weight of 8lbs 15oz and is in the 92%.

My dr wasn't too concerned about LO's size. She's wary of inducing because inducing if baby isn't ready to come increases the likely hood of a c/s and she'd rather have LO come when she's ready. I love my dr!

I was undecided about having an internal done but since I've been having the menstural like cramps and belly tightness I decided do bite the bullet and get one. I'm 2cm 80% effaced and her head is right there. The dr said the cramps are contractions and that we could try stripping my membranes to see if that encourages things to progress or we could just wait until next week. I decided to just do it today and OMG it hurt like hell!

About an hour after the appt I started having pretty regular contrax that were uncomfortable but not horrible. They were coming pretty regularly (about every 3-5 mintues) for a couple of hours. They've slowed down in frequency but ramped up in intensity.

Tomorrow is my mom's and sister's birthday and the whole family is hoping that LO comes tomorrow so we can have 3 generations born on the same day, each 29 years apart. My mom is on her way over to stay the night. Usually she'd wait until I call to tell her I'm in labor but the bridge she has to take to get to my house is closed due to falling ice so she has to drive the long way around.

We're keeping our fingers crossed that the membrane stripping worked and I go into full labor soon.

How exciting!! I've been having more frequent and more painful contractions myself today, so it's exciting to hear that you're so far along with your labor progress. Good luck on having your baby tomorrow, that's so cool that you'd have 3 generations born on the same day.
