realize first that not everyone is going to be happy all of the time. take support and help from others if you can. When baby is napping always take a few minutes with your toddler.
My daughter was 18 months old when her sister was born and sadly I must say she watched a lot of tv in the first few months.
It is what it is! It is kind of like survival the first few months.
Anytime someone can do something special with your toddler is great. Like a few hours with dad, etc.
Take advantage of how small #2 is currently by BFing (if you are BFing) with one hand and reading with the toddler, or coloring, or playing with Little people / small toys at a table or on the floor.
Also a baby carrier is a great thing to have so you can wear #2 while playing with #1.
Now if you asked how to take care of 2 kids And keep the house clean I wouldn't be able to help. haha

All of this for sure! My older two are 16.5 months apart and we just did what we had to do to keep everyone fed, changed, rested, and happy as much as possible. Lots of juggling, but you get a system down!
One thing that worked for me was to really focus on getting them to take a nap together every day. That really saved my sanity. Even if they overlapped a little bit to get even 20-30 minutes to grab a bite to eat while the baby napped next to me on the couch (or even in the Moby wrap attached to me!) was heaven.
