I think its safe to say that becoming a parent can change you in so many ways... what are some of the little things that bring you happiness now?
I thought of this as I was blissfully eating a string cheese...without having to share. HA! who would have ever thought I would find that blissful?

"When it comes to sleeping, whatever your baby does is normal. If one thing has damaged parents enjoyment of their babies, it's rigid expectations about how and when the baby should sleep." ~ James McKenna, Ph.D., Mother Baby Behavioral Sleep Center, University of Notre Dame
Grocery shopping alone
Eating dinner without doing side-bends to pick up things thrown from the high chair
Blow drying my hair without someone crying, "I'm scared of the noise!"
Running outside with only my headphones to keep me company
I appreciate being able to eat a hot meal rather than having it be cold because I am spoon feeding this one, cutting it up into smaller pieces for that one, making this one sit back down in this high chair, going to wipe the bottom of that one who refused to go before dinner, but somehow his bowels are ready as soon as I dish up.
They are going to g-ma's tonight and we have a date; I'm so looking forward to eating warm food!!!

Eating in bed AND watching TV without sharing...yes DH and I were *those* people before DS was born.
Using the bathroom with the door closed and without being bothered.
Showering without rushing
Shaving my legs just because...not because it's been over a week and my legs are nearly as hairy as my DH's.
Drives alone. I love to drive. Anywhere, anytime. Not worrying about retrieving cars that have been dropped, Bennett being "all done" and wanting out, passing snacks back to him or worrying if he'll fall asleep in the car and ruin his nap.
Uninterrupted conversations with my DH
Being able to eat out in a restaurant and use BOTH of my hands. It seems like lately DD is just all over the place that I'm always trying to hold her or help her eat, or doing something to help her.
Also, going out with a small purse and not having a million things to take with me- I went out with some friends the other night and all I took with me was a small clutch purse! It was great! I didn't have my big purse, a sippy cup, ipad, or bib, it was heaven!!
Two kids, napping at the same time. That is super, ridiculously awesome...
I love how my kids, right now, seem be so fond of one another. I know this won't last, but hearing Caroline say "I lub you, brudder" just melts my Mommy heart...and she can always get the sweetest smiles out of Parker...just adorable.
LOL, thhis is so me!

Definitely using the bathroom without company...I never thought I would do what I have done with a kid on my lap or a kid handing me her toys.
Also, showers. Period. LOL! Particularly ones where I have time to both shampoo my hair and shave my legs.
Because we're fancy like that.
Showering for longer than 5 minutes.
Sleeping more than 3-4 hours at a time. For that matter sleeping late!
Not having to do bathroom business as fast as humanely possible...
My bliss for today was walking leasurly through Target with with my Starbucks in hand not having to rush out because of a crying kid.
Listening to what I want to on the radio without DJ Homeboy in the back yelling at me to put on Christmas songs for the millionth time. I'm xmased out kid!
Working on a Friday night so that I can sleep longer the next day since DH will be watching the kids, and I won't have to pick them up from school at 11:30. It is glorious to sleep longer than 3 hours after being up for >24 hours! Before kids, I avoiding working Fridays...
A mani/pedi, and having time to read a book while drinking a latte at Starbucks...ahhhh.
