Bleeding After Internal or Bloody Show?

So I had my third internal today and this was the first time that I have had ANY bleeding afterwards.  So I'm not sure if it's just from the internal or could it have jump started the infamous "bloody show"? It was similar to my MP (which I lost about 3 weeks ago) but this time was more mucousy with bright red blood which the MP did not have. It's not heavy like a period but it did have a few small pieces like you would normally get from a period. I had the internal at 10am and I'm still getting blood every time I wipe 5 hours later.

I'm already 2 centimeters dilated and making progress each week which I know means nothing but it's so hard not to read into things thinking that our LO might be here soon. Someone tell me it's not so I can go on "just waiting patiently" for her arrival instead of getting excited at every twinge of a BH.

My doctor told me bleeding after an internal was normal.  Depending on how "vigorous" she was with her checks I bled more than other times.

I had my first internal today and also had my membranes stripped.  I was told I could have some bleeding for several hours but so far I've only had a tiny bit right afterward.  I am having lots of cramping/contrax so I'm hoping the stripping worked and I'll go into labor soon.
