Would you switch?

A few weeks ago my walgreen's BBT broke and so I went and bought the one at Walmart, since it's pretty highly reccomended on here. Well, I'm not sure if mine is broke or what the deal is, but it takes FOREVER to take my temp! This morning the whole process was over five minutes. I would push the button and it would end up just shutting off after a minute before alerting me it had reached my temperature. Am I doing something wrong? I know it's not reccomended to switch BBTs midcycle but this is rediculous and I'm over it. Would you switch or stick it out??

I don't have any experience with the Mabis BBT, but I did have a Walgreens BBT and switched to a CVS.  I found that the CVS one took much longer to get a reading on than the Walgreens.  I also found that the Walgreens one wasn't as accurate, though.  So it taking longer to get a reading on a new BBT doesn't surprise me.  But like PP said, it shouldn't take that long so you should probably return it.

I had the Walgreens one & I had to switch because it was horrible. I just got the Mabis & it's been working great. It does take longer but it seems like I'm getting more accurate readings. You may just have a faulty one. I'd try to exchange it & try again.
