How often do you weigh yourself? Honestly?
I understand I'm a psycho but I weigh myself every night and every morning. DH threatens to hide the scale. I'm motivated by numbers and I like to keep myself in major check. I'm having a rough day because I apparently gained 2 lbs in 1 day. I have convinced myself it's a fluke seeing as how I've worked out every day this week and didn't consume a huge amount of salt yesterday.

You should really only weigh yourself once a week to track weight loss. Your weight can flex from up to +/- 5lbs in a day. Depending on what is in your stomach (ie, if you have or haven't gone #2!), how full your bladder is, the amount of fluid your body is holding on to etc.
Weigh yourself once a week at the same time of day. I like to do it in the morning... usually after I've had a small cup of coffee and gone to the bathroom!
When I'm trying to lose weight I weigh myself every morning. I understand how weight fluctuates but I still am encouraged (or motivated!) by small changes. When I'm not actively trying to lose weight I weigh myself every few weeks...or never.
