HPT after iui/trigger?????

 I am new to all of this so any input would be so appreciated as I have been putting myself through hell.

On 1/6 I did my ovidrel trigger followed by iui 1/8.  Today I took a hpt and got a positive. Which is 13 days after trigger. I called my doctor and she said its too early to tell has anyone else had this problem!? Should I not be excited?
