Today I haven't felt well, some off and on nausea, a light headache, and while I was making dinner I was seeing stars all around my peripheral vision. It has been a long week, I pulled a muscle in my shoulder and I have been taking Vicodin (I take it very sparingly and only when I can lie down and rest) I have had some swelling issues but my BP is always in the normal range when I go to the doctor. I read online that seeing stars could be the start of Pre-E. I am drinking lots of water and sitting down. Anyone else have this issue?
Vent-I cannot be in the early stages of Pre-E. I move in one week and my poor husband has done 99% of the work. He is so fabulous but there is just some things that I need to do and I am gone for the weekend. Since I hurt my shoulder I have been even more worthless and now from what I need I just need to relax. I know I am 8 months pregnant and I need to take care of myself but how do you relax knowing that there is so much to do and that your DH has to do it all because you aren't feeling well. I just want to cry. Sorry, needed a pity party moment.
Re: Seeing Stars--Help!
It happens to me on and off. But it also used to happen on occasion before I was pregnant too. Since it mostly happens after I've been rubbing my eyes too hard or when I've got a bit of a headache/migraine I've been ignoring it. My BP is good and my OB knows about the headaches (I forgot to mention the occasional light burst/stars) but says everything looks really good.
It if happens with more regularity/frequency I'll call my OB.

You really should call and let your OB know. Those are ALL symptoms of high BP/pre-e and it is NOT something to mess with.
BP can spike overnight. So it doesn't matter if your BP has been fine the entire pregnancy. It doesn't matter if it was fine 2 hours ago. Headache + seeing stars + swelling = call to my OB immediately, and likely admittance to L&D. (BUT I have had protein in my urine).
