DD is almost 22 months old. Her usual sleep routine HAD been sleeping 11-12 hrs a night (bedtime at 8 and waking around 7:30-8:00 ) and a 2.5-3 hr nap in the afternoon. For the last few weeks, she has cut her afternoon naps to just 1.5-2 hrs. But the kicker is that the last 3 days she has woken up around 6:30 or 6:45 which is really unusual for her. She has had a bit of a cold for the last week, too.
I'm trying to decide if she's overtired and thus waking early or if she's really just needing less sleep for some reason. Any thoughts?
Re: Needing less sleep or overtired?
Is she happy as normal or more cranky than usual?
If she's happy, then she might just not need the sleep right now. If she's cranky, then I'd say she's overtired. Try putting her to bed earlier and see how that goes.
Aaaaand today was Day 5 of waking at 6:30. Ugh!
Overall she's been pretty happy. She's been sick this week, but other than the horrible D arth V ader cough you'd never know it. It's just really unusual for her.
