Cloth Diapering

About to give up on cloth, HELP!

My baby is 6 months old. Our cloth experience has been going GREAT until 2 wks ago. Since then, he leaks out from the legs every 2 hours. And I have to change his outfit. We have the Softbums system (AI2 w/ fleece/microfiber pods), which I LOVED. But, now I am getting frustrated. So far, I have adjusted the leg openings, added a doubler, and stripped them, and they are still leaking. Any other suggestions or thoughts??

  • Try hemp instead of MF
  • When the diapers leak is the insert soaked, or is it more of a fit issue? Do they leak during naps, or when your LO is moving around?

  • Your LOs shape has probably changed. I would try a different diaper. The diapers that worked the best for my 0-5 month old baby aren''t the favorite we're using now. Or, the amount your LO is peeing. Like another poster says, try hemp. Joeybunz Hemparoo from Babykicks are wonderful.

Also, microfiber is bad with compression leaks. So if the diaper is too tight or overstuffed, you will get leaks.
