Bed Sharing with 21 mo and new baby?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to work the logistics in this out. Also we are considering NOT buying a second crib. Our daughter still sleeps with us 99% of the time and we were thinking/hoping we could make the transition to a toddler bed and then just move the crib when it was necessary. Obviously we already have a PnP that we could very easily set up in the new LO's room just to have something available for us if we wanted/needed it. Does this sound like a good plan? And again any suggestions or tools to make bed sharing safe/enjoyable for all involved?

I don't really have any advice about bedsharing with two - still trying to figure out how that is going to work, myself. But we are also not planning on getting a crib for baby #2. I plan to put a full-size mattress on the floor and co-sleep in there with the newborn. DS is in his own room in a full-size bed. If he wakes at night, I will have him come to bed with the baby and me. (DH is a light sleeper, so he needs to be in a separate room.) This is the plan for right now, but I don't know how realistic it is. It does make me nervous to have a toddler in bed with a newborn, but I plan to be in between them. I'm just hoping DS starts STTN before then.

Our older son moved into a big-kid bed when he was about 22-23 months, but it was still in our room. He was 28 months when our younger son was born, and we moved had already moved him into his own room at that point. Maybe just transitioning her to a her own mattress/space would work, as I am pretty sure co-sleeping siblings should all be over 12 months or so. hth
