Gender Prediction?

Any truth to Chinese Gender Prediction, Wedding Ring/Needle and Thread, Draino tests or other Old Wives Tales?  According to one Chinese calendar, it says we'll be having a boy, another reads girl.  I'd love for it to be a surprise (curiosity getting the best of me though!) and DP said we for sure need to "pre-plan".  Urgh.  I've also heard the Chinese Gender calendar is 2 years off and you should ADD 2 years to your age.  Hahhaha - so much to think about!!

Everything was wrong for both kids, so no there is no truth to it.

They all have a 50/50 shot at being correct!  lol  Aside from getting a u/s (which isn't even 100%)  or a CVS or Amnio there is nothing that is 100%.

I did the Pencial trick which is similar to the wedding ring one and it was right for me with both of my girls, and shows this one is a boy so we shall see. Infact, I did it on a lot of people in my family and had others do it on them that didn't know what sex of babies they had or were going to have and it was right on everyone we tried it on.

I find they are wrong.  Im expecting #4.

I have heard the cabbage test works- is about 75% accurate.  would like to do it for fun.  Nothing serious. 

 

For those who don't know cabbage test:  

1.Go to the store and buy a red cabbage. The size of the cabbage does not matter at all.
2.Cut the cabbage into big chunks. The smaller you cut the chunks, the better your results will turn out.
3. Boil some water on the stove and put in the chunks of cabbage.
4. Let the water and cabbage boil for about 10 minutes or so. When the ten minutes is up, remove it from the heat.
5. Grab a cup and go to the bathroom! Pee into the cup.
6. In a separate cup, mix 1 part of your urine to 1 part of the water that the cabbage was boiled in. No need to save the cabbage unless you want to eat it. It's pretty tasty, so you might want to eat it!
7. If the urine/cabbage water turns pink or red then this indicates a boy result! If the urine/cabbage water turns purple, this indicates a girl result.

Everyone on my moms side has done the needle and thread and so far they say its been right everytime so far. And for us its saying a boy so we shall see.

I'll be interested to see who's ends up corrent and who's doesn't.  We're not finding out but our chinese gender prediction says girl.  Guess we'll see come August!

I just did the wedding ring/needle prediction: boy. Chinese gender predictor: girl (originally); after adding two years: boy (lol). My husband is putting on a little "sympathy weight": I guess that means boy too. According to a quiz I just took: Boy...and all my friends and family that know seem to be sure that I am having a boy (for some reason as well). I think it will surely be a shock if we have a girl on the way! LOL

While these are fun, I am sure there is no sure-fire way of determining the gender until you get an U/S. Best of luck!

There is only one Chinese Gender Chart! As errors occur in copying, copying and copying, so you can see many versions in the web. Other old wives tales are just all for fun!
