We are struggling to find something short but not boring to use as a mn for Serafina. My mn is Marie (as is my mom's and very close cousin's), but I'd rather do something more interesting. H likes Emery, but it is too many syllables and just doesn't flow well IMO. Our last name starts with CH, is British-sounding, and kinda sounds like Sandwich.
Ideas?
Re: MN for Serafina
I would go with something simple. I actually like Sarafina Marie.
Hmm how about Ann, Rose?
I wanted to use Ann because it's my Twins sister's mn, but she laughed hysterically at the SAC initials. Lol!
not crazy about Mae. It's very old-lady to me.
Serafina Pearl
Serafina Elise
Good suggestions! I love Claire, but he vetoed it today. Booo. Ivy was on our short list for first names, but we took it off once we had to do IVF. That would just be weird, right? And now the whole Blue Ivy thing... I just don't want people to think that's the association.
Wren is nice! And thank you! We like this spelling because we are of Polish heritage and this is the Polish/Italian spelling.
I hadn't thought of this one!
Well at least we certainly have a list to work from now.
Thanks ladies!
Jane
Lily
A close friend used Pearl for her daughter and Elyse is SIL's first name. H is not fond of passing names on from his side.
Rose was the first thing to pop into my head.
Other ideas: Renee, Claire, Elise...

Okay, that makes me giggle like a little school boy, too.
