hello, I'll be 20w in 2 days. My doctor told me that if everything goes well, I'll have a c-section by 38w. I live in NJ and we get 4 weeks paid prior to the delivery. I would like to know when the doctor sent you home. I'm going for ultrasounds every two weeks. My cervix is fine so far.
Re: Until when did you work?
See post from today about "when was your plan to be done week."
You will see varied answers- some MoMs worked all the way until they delivered, many of us went out earlier on orders from our doctors.
I stopped working at 30 weeks due to PTL.

I'm from NJ too and I may be wrong... I'm a teacher so I don't get any money from the state... but I'm pretty sure it is 4 weeks before your 40w due date, not your delivery date. My friend (non-twin mama) had to deliver at 39 weeks due to her diabetes, which she knew from the beginning of her pregnancy, and she still could only get it from 36 weeks on. She tried to get it for 4 weeks from her scheduled c/s but they wouldn't give it to her.
ETA: I worked until 17 weeks because that's when the school year was over and my doctor told me not to plan to return to work in the fall which was around 28 weeks.

i also believe it's 4 weeks from 40w... not from the date you would deliver.
can i ask- why would your doc deliver at 38w? most hospitals will not even schedule a planned induction/cs until 39w unless it's twins.... or a medical reason.
if you have a medical reason you can be taken out of work at any point your doc feels necessary. I was out at 30w with DS1 b/c of issues... and out at 27w with the twins to prevent PTL... i was on STD until I delivered.
Thats fantastic you get 4 weeks paid prior to delivery! Can you choose to take that time after delivery? I took 12 weeks off after and wish I had more!
I didn't have any complications, no contractions, etc so I worked up until the day before my scheduled C sec at 38 w 2d (but I do work from home at my desk and sit on my butt all day so I'm sure that made it easier!)
My doctor said I was fine to work until my C-Section... I worked on a Thursday, went to my scheduled 37 week appt on Friday, and my water broke on that Saturday!
