Officially introduce myself to this board! I'm Carrie and my husband and I have been married for a few years, mostly focusing on our careers and our lives before kids. Three weeks ago he had to take me to the ER because I had a serious case of the stomach flu and after only eight hours of being sick, knew that they only way I would feel better would be to go. Low and behold, after really sitting down and thinking about my last MP, we told them there was a chance we could be 'knocked up'. I'd never been super regular and just recently we had decided to stop taking the pill and let nature run it's course. Okay, back to the story. Well, two vials of blood and who knows how many tests later, we find out, not only do you have the flu, but you are PREGGO! Happy happy day, well, mostly after I started to feel better!
Fast forward to today, and we go in for our first appointment (yes, a bit late, but between being sick and waiting for a time, it was the soonest we could get in and BOTH be there, which was super important), and I'm measuring a little big (how they can tell, I still am clueless). After a ultrasound (yowsers!) it comes out, two healthy babies, woo hoo, and what appears to be one placenta! So here we go with Monochorionic twins!
