After speaking to the Dr, I get to go in next Monday for another u/s to check the baby's heart rate again vs. the 2 weeks we originally said. I think I can definitely do 1 week, 2 was pushing it w/ these nerves.
Also he put my mind at rest about the subchorionic clot and said he sees it all.the.time and it rarely ever causes complications. That helped.
I just want to see a little faster heart rate and I will feel better. Although, on american pregnancy association it said that for 6-7weeks along 90-110 is totally normal. Ours was exactly 110. The Dr did say it's only 10 beats below the norm and that's not a worry at all. Plus he said u/s aren't always accurate and the heart had probably just started, etc.
They checked my progesterone (it was low w/ the pg I miscarried but he said it was a sign of a non-viable pg and not the cause) and my prog is in th normal range but he is going to supplement me as a precaution. I will begin taking prometrium today.
I think I feel a bit better about everything. It's just nerve racking due to my recent loss. I don't know if I could do it a second time!
Re: Oh...and update on me and my pg
I would be feeling the same way you are. I think it's great that you've got such a supportive OB. That has to help.
About the subchorionic thing, my partner at work had one. She had just found out she was pg, was in Mexico and started bleeding. She went to the doc as soon as she was home, they did an ultrasound, she now has healthy, bouncing 8 month old twin boys. LOL
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
Sounds like you have a great doctor and are in very capable and understanding hands! So glad everything is going well. I know it's tough those first few weeks of a pregnancy after experiencing a loss, but it sounds like your doc is doing a great job of trying to put your nerves at ease.
I have been following your story and praying that all is well for you and your little one. Sounds like you have a wonderful OB!
