Minnesota Babies

Free class option!

I'm not sure if this has been discussed at all lately, but I found a source for free classes.  The Childbirth Collective offers parent nights every week on different topics.  The link is to a list ofall the classes offered.  There are actually two different locations, one in Minneapolis and St. Paul, so there are two classes offered every week.  The schedules are listed under the "Parent Topic Nights" tab.

My H and I weren't sure if we wanted to pay the money for classes, so we thought we would give these classes a try and then fill in with paid classes if we needed.  We went to the Comfort Measures class tonight and really enjoyed it.  The classes are lead by doulas, but they mentioned that all the methods they mention are evidence based.  We're planning on going to 4 or 5 other classes before my due date in April.  They might not be quite as comprehensive as other classes offered through hospitals or companies, but I think they are a good option if you're looking for some supplemental information to what you've already learned.

Hope this helps out some of you who might be on the fence about taking classes!
