    Although there's nothing proven to "speed up" or "induce" labor, sex is supposed to help prepare/ripen the cervix because of prostoglandins (sp?) in the er, love juice.  So it won't induce, but it might help you avoid the need to use a ripening/softening chemical like cervidil.

    I voted "nothing" but I wanted to put SS because what got *my* labor started was pitocin. Sad

    However, I did have a good induction experience with a fast labor and delivery. I went in at 1cm and 80% effaced at 40 weeks. Whole thing took 7 hours from IV placement to baby-in-arms. So it is possible to have a decent induction experience. 

    That said, I'm really hoping to avoid that all with this baby, I really do think they come when they're ready - barring any medical reasons to get them out before then.
