Having A hard time requesting friends

I having a hard time finding/ requesting friends I have searched potential friends but haven't been able to send request because the computer hasn't found them. should I just send private messages and have friends send me request. how does this work. I'm so Confused???

    I honestly didn't know that people did that on here. I've been here quite a while and still don't do that.

    Maybe just try to find a board and lurk for a while before you post. See where you feel comfortable and will fi tin the best. Definitely start with a short intro post and see where that gets you.

    Oh... LOL thanks for letting me know... I just seen it  on my bio and i thought that it was a common usage...
