Girl Name - Arden?

What say you?

DD is Ruby. I NEED to name this baby and hubby and I can NOT come to an agreement. I love Phoebe - he dosen't. He loves Claire and I feel ho hum about Claire. I think it makes a better middle name.

Other names I like:

Reese, Presley (I know you all hate it), and Kate (but won't use this due to friend's baby)

Back to my original question - do you like Arden? PLEASE HELP.

My grandma has a friend named Arden and I have always liked it...I tend to like more old fashioned girl names. I think it sounds nice with Ruby. I also like Claire but not a huge fan of your other choices (though Kate is nice).

I like it a lot. Ruby and Arden would make a really cute sibset. Arden Claire is very pretty and classic-sounding. It's definitely the best of all your options, IMO!

Thanks everyone - your responses have really confirmed how I feel about the name... I love it. :-) I called DH at work and told him the name and he actually kinda liked it and said, "Hmm - that's a good name, let me think about it" so that is promising.

I know a 70 year old man named Arden .. never would I think to name a girl that .. obviously Phoebe and Claire are out .. you like Reese, Presley and Kate, but won't use Kate .. what about your husband, does he like Reese and Presley .. ? I think Presley sounds like a boy name .. I like Reese, but I'm not your husband .. haha .. ask him .. ! Oh, and if you both like Arden, then use it.

I cannot imagine meeting someone named Arden because back home Arden is a major road and a major mall.  So every time I hear it as a name, I think Arden Faire

I actually work with 2 Ardens..Never heard the name in my life then we hired 2 Ardens at the same time..Both girls are gorgeous tall blondes, one has a super funny personality and the other is more serious but brilliant. I like the name

I don't mind it. It's kind of pretty and different but also borderline trendy/yuppy which is offputting. I love Phoebe and Claire though. Not a fan of Reese or Presley.
