Would you not use Dominic because it rhymes with your last name? LN sounds like Rock but starts with a B. I love this name, but not sure if it sounds too rhyme-y.
That doesn't sound rhymey to me, but I can't really tell without knowing the actual last name. If it is something like Brock then I don't see that as being rhymey.

Still, that doesn't sound rhymey to me. If you don't like how it sounds though, then toss the name from the list. If you like it but are concerned that others will find it rhymey, I'd say don't worry about it. I get that the two hard c sounds clash a little bit, but it doesn't really bother me. You have a difficult last name, IMO, to pair names with . Is Dominic your top choice?

Yeah it's rough. I ruled out names like Jacob and Caleb because I don't like the sound, it sounds like the first and last name just run together.
We also ruled out any one syllable names: Jude, Reid, etc.
I'm also having problems with any name ending in the -ck sound like Dominic, or any names that have traditional nicknames that end in the -ck sound, like Nicholas nn Nick, Michael nn Mike. I like the name Alexander, but I'm not thrilled by how Alex sounds either. We're still in preliminary stages though but here are a few others we like:
Jarett (DH loves this one, or is it Jarrett?)
Dylan
Harvey (family name)
Judah
Nolan
Pierce
Roman
Sebastian
Alexander (still not sure about Alex though)
August
Joseph (family name - maybe middle)
We like traditional names, but prefer something that's not too popular. Boys are hard, if it's a girl it will be Genevieve. So we want something to match that as well.
Don't go with Sebastian! Sounds like composer Johann Sebastion Bach.
I really like Alexander actually, even Alex, with your last name. Roman, Dylan, and Nolan sound nice also. The "n" ending flows into your last name the best out of the other choices you've listed (it seems you've discovered this given how many "n" endings are on your list). Harvey also is not bad. My favorites are Alexander and Roman.
I didn't even THINK about the composer, that would have been bad, haha.
I guess all the names that end in -n just kind of happened because of the limitations with my last name, but I do agree that they sound the best. I agree with you, besides Dominic which is pretty much out at this point Alexander and Roman are my favorites too. Thanks for your help

The lead singer from Skid Row is named Sebastian Bach, too!
Judah Bock sounds funny to me too- like 'joo da Bock'!
I like Dylan, Jarrett (with two t's), Pierce, and Roman with your last name.
Dominic is one of the few boy names both DH and I like, and we wouldn't use it because it also rhymes w/our ln. Not that we're having any boys, but we wouldn't consider it since it does rhyme.
Re: Dominic w/ last name?
Just replace the R with a B.

I wouldn't use it if it rhymed or was too similar to my last name.
First thoughts:
