I had a couples membership for $50 per month after my company discount.  I did not like it at all.  After having a Lifetime fitness membership, it is kind of hard for other clubs to measure up.  Only the downtown and auburn hills clubs are newer.  Everywhere else is really old.  I think the worth of the price depends on what you are looking for.  I take group fitness classes so for me that is most important.  If you just use a treadmill or care about the pool, the YMCA might be better.  But even if you are really interested in the pool, with all the LA Fitness clubs opening in the area, and taking over old Bally locations, I even think the new LA fitness memberships are better than the Y.

The Port Huron Club is new also. They offer lots of prenatal water aerobic classes that I plan I taking!

I like it. I pay $47/month, so it's cheaper than most gyms around here. The big selling points for me were the pool and water classes. I couldn't find very many in the area.
