NBs and covers

I apologize in advance if these questions have been asked a million times, but how many covers should I plan to have on hand before LO arrives? I have 24 PF and *think* that should be good for now, but was unsure as far as covers go. Also, what were some of your favorite covers when baby was so tiny? TIA.

24-36 prefolds and 4-6 covers if you Snappi.  If you trifold, you need more like 8-10 covers. I liked Thirsties duo wraps in aplix and Bummis Super Brite covers best.

ETA: you want a cover with leg gussets and aplix for maximum leak protection and best fit at the waist on a newbie.
