Stinky diapers

Lately I've noticed that our diapers are super stinky.  I'm curious what I can do for them.  We use the Bum Genius 4.0s and wash with Country Save detergent.  Thanks in advance!

We had a problem with our Fuzzibunz being stinky when they had some detergent build up. I had read that that is a potential sign, so I put them in a spin cycle with no detergent and sure enough the water started sudsing up. Maybe try an extra rinse cycle to try?

This exactly.  Rinse ones, check for suds, seem em, rinse 4-5 more times.   If that doesn't work switch detergents for a couple of washes or so and see how that goes.

What kind of stinky? If they smell like ammonia immediately after a pee, you probably have detergent buildup. If they smell like a barnyard, you need to use more detergent. If they smell after being used all night and your kiddo is older, you have a case of toddler pee. Good luck.

An RLR strip followed by a Dawn strip and lots of hot rinses always works wonders for any stink or ammonia issues.

boil your inserts.  i did a dawn strip because my previously owned stash were wicking then I did a cold prewash then normal wash on hotcold.  so far so good
