Hi ladies,
I'm Hungryhippo and I've been lurking here for a few weeks. I'm finding more and more that I'd like to be able to respond to posts here.
I've been TTC for a year and had my first loss 7.5 months ago. I lingered on the miscarriage/pregnancy loss board longer than most of my contemporaries, but it has been a full six months since I started posting on TTCAL. My first baby had a perfect hb and grew to almost 8 weeks, but my body and my heart were pregnant for 10w6d.
My second BFP was bizarre. I had a faint positive test at 13dpo followed by 3 days of bleeding (I thought it was a period so assumed CP), and FF even detected the next cycle's O but I had actually been pregnant the whole time. Once I finally figured that out (too many +OPKs plus soft cervix plus IC = testing at what I thought was 5dpo), betas never doubled and bleeding started a couple of weeks later.
I've taken my losses really hard, just like most everyone on the loss boards. I'm incredibly grateful to have found TTCAL and a lifetime of support through so many women. At the same time, being part of a group like this makes it obvious to me that a vast majority of my loss contemporaries are well on their way to their rainbow babies (yay!). I'm not (ouch).
All of that to say, if it is okay with all of you, I hope to be able to start offering support here.
((Hugs)) to everyone here.
