My poor sick baby - update

We ended up back at the pediatrician's office yesterday. LO began refusing fluids Tuesday night into Wednesday & the dr had us dropper-feeding her liquids to keep up her fluid intake & told us to call in the morning if her fever was 100.5 or higher.

Thursday she was 100. 8, still with a nose running like a leaky faucet & an awful cough, was hit or miss with fluids and seemed more tired than ever (despite all the awesome naps she took). We saw a different pediatrician in the practice, who detected a wheezing sound when LO breathed when she was listening for a sounds that might indicate pneumonia. Ears still clear. Dr put LO on a nebulizer, which she anticipated ending on Sunday.

Went for the follow-up today, looks like LO is on the nebulizer until Tues/Wed. Which is fine, it's early but it seems like there's some improvement already. The fever hovered around the 99.4 mark today. If she develops a fever 100.5 or higher, she has to go for a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia.

She's upped her fluid intake. Not back to normal but better than what it was. She's sticking with formula & water. The dr told us to try juice, which LO decided she doesn't want right now. I put it in her sippy cup. She took a sip, made a face, dropped the cup on the floor & crawled away. So maybe she's getting better, lol .

Thanks ladies!
