I am getting my IUD put in on Monday and I am a little nervous. Did anyone have one placed yet? Any words of encouragement?

I have it.  If you had a vag delivery it is no big deal.  Just a little pinch.  Some suggest taking a pain reliever before your appointment just in case of sensitivity.

Mine hurt quite a bit but only for a couple of minutes. I had a c/s so I've heard that's more painful for insertion than if you had a vaginal delivery.

Placement was a piece of cake.  I took ibuprofen an hour before and it wasn't even really that uncomfortable.

I had mine placed on Tuesday.  It didn't hurt at all.  I did have a lot of bleeding on Wednesday and some cramping, but it only lasted that day.

I didn't feel a thing except for whatever tool came sliding out at the end. My OB asked how are you doing and I didn't answer because I thought she was asking the Medical Assistant lol. I felt nothing and no cramping afterwards. I had a bit of spotting and yesterday I started my period. I haven't noticed a change in my supply either.
