Hey y'all.
First I want to say I've been lurking around here for a few months, and wow! You sure know your stuff around here. It has been so helpful to me to be able to pick up all this information from you. Thanks for that.
Now, I looked at the FAQ about cloth wipes this morning, and I was still puzzled by something. A lot of you say you use just regular old water instead of solution, and some of you buy solutions. I may change my mind about this, but for now I think I might be more comfortable using something more than water. I found a website that has a lot of recipes for solutions, but most of them use almond, olive, or baby oil in the mix. Won't these cause repelling issues? Do any of you have a quick and dirty go-to mix that you could recommend?
Thanks again.

You could just add a little of whatever baby wash you're using to the bottle of water, if you like.
We really do just use water. It's what they told us to do at the hospital. No baby is allergic to water.
For the first little while. we also used coconut oil in place of vaseline as a moisture barrier at most changes. It washed out no problem. I got lazy after a few weeks and mostly stopped, and it didn't seem to make much difference.
