We're having a brunch tomorrow for Leah's birthday. What can I have for people when they get here? We're having quiche, hash brown casserole type thing, French toast casserole, fruit salad, and muffins/croissants. So i can't serve like chips and dip before breakfast, kwim?? Any ideas?
Re: Appetizers for brunch???
I would definitely do a fruit platter! It's like having a veggie platter before lunch or dinner. Whenever we have fruit or veggie platters, they are a huge hit!
ETA - ok, apparently I can't read. So what about saving the fruit platter for beforehand?

I would say no on the chips and dip..
But I agree you could put out a fruit platter with cheese and crackers as an appetizer. Or a baked brie with crackers and grapes. Something sweet but the cheese could make it more "appetizer like".
Hmm. I will keep thinking.
This strawberry brushcetta is really good. You could do some sort of mix your own granola or yogurt parfait shooters.
um, cookies?
I just went to a brunch at my girlfriends last weekend and someone made those pinwheel roll up things. I think it's made w/ crescent rolls or maybe phylio dough and you fill it, roll it up in a log, cut and bake. She made one w/ spinach and cheese (moz, I think) and one w/ cheddar and bacon. They were good, and we scarfed them down! I don't have a recipe but I'm sure google or even the Pillsbury website would.
We also had a bread bowl w/ dip, veggies and dip and shrimp cocktail
Fruit dip. So easy and yummy! Have fun.
Fruit Salsa! It's so good and you can just serve with graham crackers.

I'm probably way too late to the party, but all of the ideas sound super yummy.
Wegmans sells a great fruit dip, or you can make a simple one with vanilla yogurt, honey and cinnamon or cream cheese, honey and cinnamon. Serve with a fruit platter and/or cinnamon sugar pita chips.
Mini cinnamon buns
I love the idea of a parfait bar. Have some yogurt, some fruit, some granola, some chocolate chips, some almonds and let your guests make their own parfaits.
I can't think of the name of it, but that yummy jello-y, marshmallow-y fruit salad that they usually have at the deli. So good!
Deviled eggs? I think they are still sort of brunch-y
Can't wait to hear how it turns out! I think brunch is the best meal and would so love to attend a get together that served brunch! Great idea!!
