Cameron was the only name that DH and I could agree on....We both loved it, until I looked at the meaning...It means "crooked nose" in the baby book we looked at.

It was taken off our list at that point..

Love it. I babysat a boy with that name. So cute. Also a popular TV name - Cam (Modern Family) and fun for me, Ferris Bueller. Classic.

 

However, the Camryn type female usage might throw me off.

I hate it.  It's the epitome of unisex names.  I know just as many male Cameron's as I do female (and so many youneek spellings...ugh).

H nixed it though because it's too unisex.

I also love it for a girl spelled Camryn. Yes, it has a random y but it's about one of two names I find it acceptable. (Sydney is the other).

I love the name but I agree with the PP it is to unisex. I would not feel comfortable naming my son a unisex name. I also loved Rowan for a boy but nixed that after discovering two little girls named Rowan *sigh*.
