Got a call tonight birthmom had another baby last night

We were contacted today that DD's birthmom had another baby last night and she's been taken into state custody and they want to know if we want her, since we have the bio sister. OMG we never planned for this. Part of me is freaking out thinking I can't have a newborn and a 2 year old, but that's my babies sister! We are going to see the baby in the hospital tonight and then will decide. I'm scared to death! We got so lucky with DD's adoption through foster care, I'm not sure I can go through it and have it be difficult, especially with a toddler. Ill keep y'all posted!

wow!  Exciting and nerve wracking at the same time.  I don't know what you will say - but I would say YES.

Justin has 2 other siblings, both were removed and both adopted.  We know that if she had another child, and that child needed a home - we would accept without hesitation.

 FWIW-  My girls are 8.5 months apart and I wouldn't change a thing. While we've had our crazy moments, it's now MY family. It's the way it's suppose to be for us. We hadnt planned on getting lucky with a second so soon... but what a blessing.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.  I will say, I couldn't go to the hospital and then make up my mind.  I'd be bringing that baby home, best choice be darned.

Oh, wow!  See, that is like our dream come TRUE (well, not for Alice's BM to be taken into custody, she is a GREAT person), but we joke all the time about approaching her with the thought of having another baby "for us" : )  I can only imagine how bittersweet this must feel, though, because you are thinking realistically of dealing with two under two.  We would be in the same place if for some reason we were placed for #2 within the next year, but I HIGHLY doubt that will end up happening so we aren't thinking it.  GL with your decision.  I kow you will do what is right for your family : )

I know exactly how u feel. When our son (who is my nephew) was first placed with us I went to the hospital to visit my sister and the next day the baby came home with me instead of her and she is pregnant again and due in march. I hope that no matter what you decide to do you are at peace with your decision. Keep me updated!
