I'm freaking HUUUUUNGRY, help w/ your snacks please!

So with two recent m/c in a row I've put myself back on the GF/DF/low sugar "endo diet". I'm hungry. PERIOD.

We don't have snacks that fit my eating habits and beside fruit I'm too hungry to think of anything else. I need snacky foods to much on at work too. What are your favorite healthy or gluten free items to munch on?

  • cut up veggies and ranch dip (either make your own with sour cream and spices or I use the Annie's one)

Cheddar or Jalapeno Jack cheese.  I usually eat it with an apple, I like to alternate between the two

plain greek yogurt with frozen fruit

nuts or homemade trail mix (so the dried fruit has no added sugar)

    almond butter on celery

That's all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure there are lots more!  G/L I hope you get some great ideas, I'll be watching for more ideas too!

  • Hummus

    Nuts of all kinds

More substantial vegetables - green, yellow, red peppers

Try oatmeal or eggs for breakfast - more protein will help sustain you for a while

Salads with substantial lettuce - arugula, spinach, kale, etc.

    Carrots

Potatoes - sweet would fit into that diet I think.

    Rice

Chicken, fish, more KA chicken taco! Corn tortillas!

  • I keep a bunch of ideas here:  https://pinterest.com/lifeinmotion/allergy-safe-food/

Some I have to alter to suit our needs but it might give you some ideas. A spoon of coconut oil usually gets rid of hunger for me. It's a healthy fat, has a ton of health benefits and is immediately assimilated as energy. I order it in bulk from amazon. We cook with it too.
