Back story - We were already running late this morning. We've been telling Abby about the trip we're planning to go see my family in Buffalo.

Abby: Mommy, we have to hurry or we'll freeze into popsicles!

Me: If you think this is cold, you're never going to make it in Buffalo!

Mom from other car: Gee, Thanks...

Me (looking around): I'm sorry, I was talking to Abby

Mom from other car: Oh. Sorry. We're moving back to Buffalo next month.

 

What are the effing chances??? I quickly apologized and we exchanged the usual info on where all our family lives etc. But I still felt bad because she seemed genuinely upset at first. Poor lady! She's the mom of a boy from Abby's class last year. She gave us a bunch of clothes and shoes for Emily that her younger daughter had outgrown. Everyone join me in a chorus of "It's a small world after all"!

That is funny.  What are the chances that that would happen but also why would you know she's moving there?  Poor lady, sounds like she doesn't want to move.
