Has anyone used this? Is it any good? We don't want a whole travel system, but we do want the car seat. I've read reviews and people seem to like this frame, but then a close friend pooh-poohed all of these types of strollers saying that the wheels are crappy and no one should bother buying this type of stroller.
Thoughts?

Re: Chicco Keyfit Caddy Stroller Frame?
I do not have this one in particular. I got the Baby Trend snap and go for my Chico Keyfit 30. I got it to travel over the holiday so my BJ City Select banged up by the baggage handlers. I came to the realizaton after using the snap and go for 10 days there is a huge differnce btwn a stroller frame and a stroller.
Although it is much smaller the turning radius was horrible, every bump felt like a mountain, it was harder to steer in general. Now it was great for a trip but it could never be my every day stroller.
Now with all of that said I still have used the snap and go for quick stops like the pharmacy or something like that. But if I am going to the mall or the grocery store or somere where I am pushing for more than 15 mins I dont even bother with the snap and go.
It depends on what you will use it for. DS was a winter baby, so the only place we really used a stroller in the early months was indoors, so the small wheels weren't a problem. I can't see it being a problem outdoors either, unless it's going over really uneven terrain, or through alot of snow and slush. I loved my snap and go. I wish they had had the Keyfit Caddy when I was pregnant with my first, but I loved my Snugrider (Graco brand). Sure it won't be an incredibly smooth ride when outdoors, but I never found it to be a problem as I didn't use it outside alot. I would say get the Caddy for quick trips and then an all-terrain stroller for outdoor use.
I have the chicco caddy and use it with the keyfit 30 seat. Yes, the wheels are plastic but it's obviously not an all-terrain stroller and will do just fine in grocery stores, malls, paved streets and the typical locales.
Compared to conventional strollers, your LO will probably outgrow it in 6-12 months or whenever you want to stop lugging around your carseat, but this stroller is compact and super lightweight (11 lbs) and easy to wrangle, even with one hand.
Compared to other frame strollers, it's lighter, more sleek looking, has an adjustable handle and securely clicks in with Chicco seat (others don't click with Chicco). The basket is rather nice and expandable. The downside is that it's more expensive and to me feels a little more rickety than the comparable Baby Trend Snap N Go.
Hope that helps. If there's one near you, BuyBuyBaby has a huge selection of strollers and frame strollers to check out in person. You can even place the carseats in them and feel the ride.
