Sooooo, I usually have a cycle of 32-35 days and am pretty regular with that but last month my cycle was 38 days

It freaked me out and of course it had to happen the month before we were starting to try. So this month I decided to use OPK and tested until CD19 and got nothing. So I got fed up and stopped so I dont know when I O'd but I am assuming that this should be another long cycle since I hadnt by then. My biggest fear is that they are going to keep getting longer and longer

I really hope not but I am just wondering if anyone else had irregularities and got pregnant fairly easily. Thanks so much ladies, I just need some positive encouragement. We are trying to conceive our 3rd and our 2nd we conceived on the first try so anything is going to seem like a long time especially if my cycles have decided to be annoying
Re: did anyone get pregnant easily with long/irregular cycles??
Well according to my app that I used to track my periods my cycle is 40 days... yeah.... and i got pregnant after 2 cycles of trying...If you usually have irregular periods.. i don't think that you sure worry too much..
Make a pregnancy ticker
It took us 6 months to get pregnant. I have always been irregular my entire life. Since getting off the pill my days went from 46 to 42 to 39 to 33. There was certainly a trend, but still difficult to predict when ovulation was occuring. Have fun with it and it will happen! And once it happens it's full speed ahead! LOL
My cycles started getting longer before getting pregnant with our second. I had once cycle at 45 days that was also annovulatory. That would be my first concern with long cycles I guess. Just make sure you are even ovulating.
Before getting pg this time my average cycle was about 36 or 37 days, the cycle before BFP was 45 days and I got a BFP on CD41 when I was only about 3w2d so I ovulated very late. We got pregnant with a long cycle and while using a diaphram. So yes, it was pretty easy
Good luck!
My cycles were always long and irregular growing up. That's why I went on the pill at 17 is to regulate them because my cramps would be so bad and the periods so heavy that I'd be home from school sometimes once a month.
After coming off the pill to try for our 1st, my cylce was 28 days, just like on the pill. They progressively got longer and longer each cycle until they were anywhere between 35-42 days which is 'normal' for me. After over a year of trying, my doctor ruled that I was anovulatory since I was trying everything to conceive for a year. We then tried clomid and I had twins.
This time, instead of waiting 3 months after coming of the pill to try, my DH and I started the 1st cycle since I knew it'd be 28 days just like last time. It was, but I didin't conceive until the 2nd cycle using the CBEFM. I had the monitor from trying for our first and it DOES work.
If you have a history of being annovulatory do you know what is causing that? Do you have PCOS? Are you charting? If so, do you KNOW you are ovluating?
I have long cycles & it took us over 2 years to conceive our first & 1 cycle to concieve this time. The difference was I was able to connect with a great physician that addressed the root cause of my long, annovulatory cycles and regulated them with a holistic approach.
Good luck!

I found OPKs frustrating so I took my temperature and charted itdaily. It was super helpful for knowing where I was in my cycle. My cycles became irregular after a miscarriage and after an (ultimately unnecessary) laproscopic surgery. I used acupuncture to regulate my cycles and got pregnant on my third cycle of acupuncture. You might give that a try.
For me, no it wasn't fast...11 months, but I'd say the month we did conceive was easy.
OPKs are kind of expensive so I used a BBT and charted the month before we conceived. I wonder if I had started that sooner if we would have conceived sooner, but that doesn't really matter now.
So I would recommend charting your temps with fertilityfriend.com so that you know what day in your cycle you usually ovulate on. It takes some of the guess work out of TTC. Also if you chart, once you are pregnant you will know when you conceived. Which I think is really cool.
My cycles range anywhere from 28-35 days and I just got pregnant with my first. Took 5 months. Good luck to you!
I had cycles that last about five weeks, and I got pregnant during my second cycle off birth control. I never even got to try ovulation kits or temping...DH and just had a sex on a fairly regular basis, so we were pretty likely to hit my ovulation period, whenever it was.
