So my hospital has a special name for an enema, they call it the "gift". Just wondering after the last birth story post, who is planning to get this. Comments appreciated also![Poll]

Not gonna happen! If I poo during birth, I poo. It's nothing the drs and nurses haven't seen before.
My mom had one when she gave birth to me and said that it made her so sick to the point that she was vomiting. When she had my sister the hosptial wanted to give her one and she refused, which some of the nurses couldn't believe.

No way would I get one. The way I figure it, you don't become an OB or L&D nurse because you are faint at heart, so poop on the table isn't anything they haven't seen before and not something I worry about.

I figure I will be experiencing enough discomfort that day why add unnecessairly to it. I highly doubt I will a F if I poop during delivery and I know the medical professionals won't and will just have to trust the DH will still love me and find me attractive after the fact.
My mom had one forced on her by the hospital when she was in labor with her first and she said it was the most mortifying thing that has ever happened to her. Her story has scared me off of them!! I'm sure it's not like it was back in 1968... but still. I'm traumatized.
