MamaRoo vent

Just wondering if anyone else who has the MamaRoo has had the same problem we had?  For the second time the power button has stuck & the machine will not work!  The first problem we had was before our son was born (torn seat at the seam).  It two them 3 weeks to ship it out,it was the wrong cover, didn't fit right, then the button jammed, got a new base, same thing!  I read all the reviews which just raved about it, but now I'm SO disappointed!  DS is only 2 & 1/2 mos., but has only been able to use it for a total of 2 weeks.  Someone posted on the 4Moms Facebook page about the same problem, but the company acted like it had never happened before, but it has & we even shipped our old base back....so after my long rant, I was wondering how common this was or if I & one other person were lucky enough to get the only 5 defective bases?

  • I love my Mamaroo Plush. Maybe the new model is better?

  • We used ours for 2 weeks and hated it - so we took it back.  We never had any technical issues with it, though.

  • We are having the same problem with sticky power and play buttons on our MamaRoo. I had thought my niece might have stepped on it when she was visiting last month, but then I remembered we had moved it while she was here. I noticed on the 4moms Facebook page that the company CEO posted a reply to someone with a similar complaint, offering his email address to contact for further info. I sent him an email myself, and am hoping to get this fixed! She doesn't really spend too much time in it, but this thing cost too much to have it not working properly!

  • Thank you for the input!  Mine would have gone back, but we bought it a few months before our son was born, so couldn't.  Completly disappointed in it!  And I agree, the toybar is a POS, the plush cover is what they sent as a replacement, it has one snap on each end, ours has two, they said "it will be fine", but the toy bar fell on my 3 week old baby!  Didn't hurt him, but def. freaked me out!
  • Hi ladies! I actually work at 4moms and noticed this thread with "mamaRoo" in the name, so thought I'd check it out...I'm so sorry you've had problems! We always stand behind our products, and we're happy to fix any problems we can - if we can offer you a new base, we'd love to (Winnierun, I know you already got one, and I am really sorry about that inconvenience). We do deliberately design the toy bar to fit loosely so it can't be used as a handle to lift the mamaRoo (that'd be unsafe) and since it can fall into the seating area, it's designed to be super-light with no small parts so it doesn't pose any hazard, but I'm so sorry the toy bar freaked you out! Since the plush covers are newer than the nylon, they have the new one-snap configuration, but if you'd like a new nylon cover to match your snap configuration, just let me know.
