When did you get your maternity photos done?

Hi ladies, just wondering how far along you were when you got your maternity photos done. Also, does anybody have any recommendations for a maternity photographer? I live in Katy, but would be willing to use anyone in the Houston area if I really like their style. TIA!

I did mine at about 7 mo only because of the holidays. There is a great photographer down there her name is Brittany with Pink Owl Studios shes on fb

I think photographers will recommend the later the better, but I guess it all depends on you and when you feel the best, etc.  I was scheduled to do mine at 36 weeks with #1 but he arrived at 35 weeks so I never had them done.

 

Check out Monkey Tree Photography, J Stratton, and KD Loftis.  They may not be in Katy but they do sessions in different parts of Houston.

I am going to use Stephanie Shirley. She is a friend of a friend and has great prices and is a great photographer. Her web site is www.stephanieshirley.com

She usually does maternity shoots between 32 and 36 weeks. I plan to do mine around 35........

I did mine with Monkeytree Photography at 34 weeks with my first one and it was really too soon, I wish I would have waited now looking back at the pics.

I waited until I was about 8 months and went to Glamour Shots.  LOL, yes they still exist!  I loved it, basically I showed up and had my hair and makeup done.  I know there is one in the woodlands...not sure about Katy.

I was going to get them done at 36.5 weeks... but DS appeared at 36 weeks... so they didn't happen!

We were using Nena Metcalf, she still did the newborn photos though and will do DS's 6 month photo shoot soon (which she is doing instead of the maternity ones...). She is in Katy, and we were pleased with the photos. It is expensive though but worth it.

I did mine around 34 weeks. I used 1912 Photography she is in Katy and did a really great job. She is also reasonably priced!
