Sibling Preparation Class

My son will be close to 4 years old when his baby brother arrives and I've wondered if we should look into a sibling preparation class. We've been reading books about new babies and are talking about the new baby, but I've wondered if it would be helpful.

The hospital where I am delivering (DeKalb Medical) does not offer a sibling class, but there are classes at Piedmont and Northside.

Has anyone attended either the Piedmont or Northside sibling classes? What did you think?

I have been curious about this too.  I am delivering at Kennestone and saw that they have one that is for 3-9 year olds.  I thought this would be fun to do with my son but he will barely be 3 when we would take it.  I can't imagine something that is for kids up to 9 being something that would maintain his interest.  Anyone been to Kennestone's?

We went to the one at Northside Forsyth (actually went on the morning that I was checking in later that day to be induced!), and it was really cute! Totally sunk in with them, and the timing was impeccable. They held baby dolls and learned to kiss their feet instead of in their face, "change" their diaper, got to see the nursery and where mommy would have the new baby.

I was just on the Northside website looking in to this.  I would go about a month before my due date and my son will have just turned 3 that month.  It's only an hour class and it's only $16 so I think we are going to do it.  I'm thinking it would be good to let him visit the hopsital and get some tips on interacting with the baby so we can talk it up for the last month.  I would love to hear any feedback from others that have attended too!  *V
