I know Goldie has a method that works for her twins, where their legs kind of overlap and they share the cart. I simply only choose to shop where I know they have double carts!
Some stores have double carts. If not, you may be able to ask them to order a few as I'm sure you are not the only one with two little ones. I'm not sure of another way to do it besides wearing one or lugging a stroller..

I'd stick to stores w/double carts and/or ask your local store to order a couple. Every store should have them; they will definitely get used! Plenty of people have two LOs young enough to need one.
The one time I tried it I put one in the Ergo and the other in the cart. Frankly, I just prefer to send DH with a list or have him watch the kids and go without them. It goes a lot faster for us that way, but I know that's not necessarily an option for others.
I usually do the big shopping on the weekend with DS1, while DH stays home with the twins. During the week, I either go to Safeway where they have a double cart safe for little ones, or I just use the stroller and hold a basket. I sometimes hang my shopping bags off my Mommy hook and load them up in the store, even though they ask you not to bag groceries before you buy them.
I hate having to push a stroller and pull a cart! It always runs over my heels, doesn't steer well, and gets in everyone's way. I wonder if there's a way to hook one of those little wheeled carts onto a stroller with the contraptions that let you attach two umbrella strollers together?
