Gaea

I was at a work conference a recently met a woman with this name- (pronounced GAY-uh). She was the coolest person and I now have such a positive association with the name, but I had never heard of it before. 

I could help but wonder what the board would think of it- have you run across Gaea before? Thumbs up or down?

Only name close to it is Gaye and I know 2 women with the name. I personally wouldn't use it or Gaea!

I've heard this name before, I like the mythological-ness to it. It's unique but not unacceptable. But probably NMS.

Gaea is pretty cool, but I like how Gaia sounds better.

I like the history of it but it is really NMS. I agree with pp that it could work for the right person.

NMS.  But, I've known two women with the name Gayanne (gae-yan) and I kinda like it.

wow, I've never seen it used as a name before but I really like it alot!  It is the original spelling of the name for mother earth.  Most people use the word Gaia but I like the original better. I may have to file that one away for any future daughters.
