you're going for a walk? LO will be in the ERGO. I will obviously let her know when we get there so she knows not to get her and her LO too close. But is it overkill to text her beforehand?

Re: Would you tell another mom your LO is sick if...
I don't think it's overkill, I would say something beforehand. It's better than pissing off the other mom if she does care IMO.
Depends on how sick she is and how well I know the other mom. I have mom friends I know wouldn't care and mom friends I know would!
Meh I wouldn't make a big deal about it but I think I'm more lax than most people on here about that.
If you wanted you could send her a quick text before that said something like "Our walk may have to be a quick one because I think LO may be coming down with something"
Or something to that effect so she gets a heads up. Like I said though I probably wouldn't say anything any ways because I don't think it's a big deal.
I guess it would depend what you mean by sick? A little cough, stuffy nose. Nah, no need to tell me. I assume she has no fever or vomiting though if you're taking her on a walk!
I assume any and all children around mine are petri dishes at all times, so I try not to stress about it.
Good point. He's not that sick, just a runny nose, but I don't know the mom that well yet. I'll shoot her a text.

Depends on what illness and how sick. I cancelled a walk because I thought LO had a stomach bug - this turned out to be an excellent decision because practically everyone Isaac saw last weekend ended up getting it. If it's just a minor cold, I'd barely mention it because he pretty much always seems to have one of those. Regardless, a heads-up wouldn't be a bad idea!
Off topic - Emlynnrette, we have a chair with that same print!
Yea, I'm pretty lax about it too, which is why I wasn't sure. I would definitely not care if her LO were sick for our walk. I would, however, have appreciated a heads up from my friend whose LO got Quentin sick last week. She's just over 1 and had snot dripping from her nose and was ALL over him and his toys when we saw her. Sure enough, 2 days later, Q ends up with a runny nose (his first!). Oh well...it certainly wont be his last!

ditto. Its nice when people think to tell you, and give you the option of backing out if they really aren't comfortable.
This.
agreed.
