will someone PLEASE talk to my DS

and tell him when he falls asleep in his crib at 9PM that is NOT just a nap, it is for the night.  He does NOT want to fall back to sleep.  I have tried just about everything I can think of and he is still awake.  I am afraid it is going to be a long night.

Re: will someone PLEASE talk to my DS

  • Is he fussy or can you leave him to fall asleep again on his own?

  • I tried but had to pick him up after 45 min in crib, the last 15 or so of which he was screaming.
  • Well cr@p. Is he teething maybe?

  • I don't know.  He doesn't have any teeth yet and when I checked yesterday I still didn't feel or see anything.  He is quietly laying in my arms now but I don't want to take his paci out to check for fear that he will start screaming again.
  • I'm not going to be of much help but I just wanted to sympathize with you.  DD is doing the same thing.  She used to go to bed at 9 and sleep until 6am. Now she goes to bed at 9 wakes up at 11 and won't go back to sleep until 1!

I'm hoping it's just a phase/teething.  Good luck and let us know if anything works.

  • Lol, Brynn did the same thing tonight. We have been having a hard time fitting 3 naps in during the day but 2 isn't enough. If the 3rd one runs late she wakes up late and is up at a very not baby friendly hour.
