XP: Back from WTF

I'm now officially diagnosed as "unexplained." Great. We're working with an obvious egg quality issue. I've got eggs - they just don't seem to be good ones. I asked a TON of questions and the RE sat with me answering them until an hour after the clinic had closed, which I really appreciate. He'll change up my meds for next time, and he's also getting me prescription DHEA from a local compounding pharmacy. I asked about acupuncture and he said to try it if I want. He recommended that we be aggressive, but I don't think we'll be ready to do another IVF until this spring. In the meantime, we'll probably try femara + IUI. I was pretty nervous going into the appointment, but I feel a lot better now.

    I'm so glad your RE is that supportive.   FWIW I recently started acupuncture and I love it.  I really enjoy going and I find it so relaxing.  GL!

    I'm leaning towards it (DH is a little leery).  At this point, I figure if it can't hurt and might help, why not?

    Glad your appt went well, sending lots of luck your way with the IUI. I'm also unexplained so I know how frustrating that is.

    Acupuncture is relaxing. i love it! My RE actually has a person he recs.

    I'm glad you feel better after your appt.

    I would totally do acupunture.  I am in the camp that I am not convinced it will help, but I know it won't hurt and I need all the help I can get!  I asked my RE and that was pretty much what she told me.  She said if it was her she would, b/c you would want to do everything possible.  And worse case senario-its supposed to be very relaxing-which we all need!

    I'm glad you have a doctor willing to spend the necessary time with you.  Good luck with the IUI!
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
    IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets

    I am glad to hear that your RE was so great about answering your questions and that he has a plan for you.  My RE has never mentioned DHEA, which is one of the reasons I am looking into 2nd opinions.  Not for DHEA, per se, but for more options and aggressive thinking. 

    I go to acupuncture and I really like it.  It is expensive, but I find it very relaxing.  I hope you like it to. 

    My fingers are crossed that you won't need another IVF!!

    Being unexplained sucks like hell.  Fx that the IUI's do the trick.  Your RE sounds amazing!
