i am fairly new to this so please bear with me if this seems like a silly question or  a repeated question.  i just tested positive  a few days ago (havent missed period yet)..last period was on the 13th of last month.  anyway, i think im going into my 4th week.

how soon did you start to feel exhausted and some nausea.  i have been taking long naps after work and started feeling waves of nausea yesterday.  i feel super bloated and by the end of the day my pants feel snug.  it this about right?

Congrats! Symptoms sounds about right, but BFP is biggest indicator that you're pregnant!

Call your Dr and make a pregnancy confirmation appointment asap!

i called today and they said the last week of jan/ first week of february.  feels so far away.. they arent going to take blood to confirm unless i want it.  is this something people normally do? and how many days to get thoee results?

Every woman / pregnancy is different .. I'm currently expecting #4 and I felt so bloated I thought for sure my tummy would explode! But I didn't feel this way with the first 3 .. with my 2nd, I wasn't sure I would ever get my head out of the toilet long enough to even pee on a pg test!  Pregnancy and Normal really shouldn't ever be used in the same sentence, in my opinion!  They are truly all very different!

My dr could only see me about 2 weeks after I called... I know it seems like ages, but it goes by quickly! I didn't have a blood test done, the nurse just did another urine test while I was there and confirmed my due date.  The dr then popped in quickly and just chatted about what I should expect over next few weeks and gave me forms for routine 1st trimester blood tests and ultrasounds that I had to get done before my first official prenatal visit (which is next Monday).  I should mention I live in Canada, but I'm sure you'll have a similiar experience anywhere else.

I had the same symptoms when I found out I was pg, at around 4 weeks.  Actually, the insane bloating started at least a week before I even knew I was pregnant.  I was eating cereal every day for breakfast and I thought I was becomming lactose intolerant because my stomach felt so bloated and full of air bubbles. I didn't think pregnancy symptoms would show up so soon but they did. 

 Also, my first appointment was at 6.5 weeks and they did not take blood.  They basically had me pee in a cup, did a pap ( i was due for one) and an Ultrasound and I saw the heartbeat for the first time.  I had to wait a couple weeks to see the doctor from the time I called.  My dr's office doesn't make the first appointment until you are over 6 weeks.

I've heard from quite a few friends that their dr.s actually confirm pregnancies by making them pee on another stick. I don't think a blood test is necessary, therefore, I won't do it simply to confirm that I'm KU. And it's common to wait a few weeks for your 1st appointment, and in some cases, that 1st appointment isn't with a dr, but a nurse instead getting your medical history, a urine sample, a blood sample, etc.

i hope i can see it at the  the first appt..even if its a tiny little thing:)  im guessing i will be around 6-7 weeks then. my last period was the 12/14.

i feel so bloated that at night i feel like i have a bump.. it gets bigger as the day goes on and i even have to unbotton lol.  if this keeps up i am going to be belly banding it soon.  congrats to you too!!

I will be 1 day shy of 9 weeks when I get to see my dr. She wanted to see me in the 8th week. But it will be worth the wait they will do family history and an ultrasound. I have a really great doctor. I had a blood test done for peace of mind we tried for awhile and i really didnt believe it. I got the results within an hour.

within an hour? thats great.. i thought it would be a few days. my DH appears to be in shock so still on the waiting for the doctor to confirm it.   they told me i can go in this week just for the blood confirmation so i am probably going to do that for his peace of mind.

Feeling sick and nauseous was one of the MAIN reasons I tested again because I had gotten 3 BFN's.

Got my BFP...I am still tired (not as tired as I was in week 4 & 5 though) and nauseous.
